When Will the CCE Prelims Answer Key Come?
GSSSB has not given a date for the CCE prelims answer key. Two reference points help you set a realistic expectation.
- The 2024 gap: the last prelims shift was on 20 May 2024 and the provisional key came on 8 June 2024, 19 days later. The same gap from 29 September 2026 lands on 18 October 2026. That is arithmetic, not an announcement.
- The mains deadline: the Group A mains is fixed for 28 November 2026, and for the December 2025 Group A mains, call letters came about nine days before the paper. The key, the objection window, the final key and the shortlist all have to fit before mid-November.
GSSSB’s recent single-day CBRT exams have had their keys within two days of the paper, so an earlier release is possible. For a 14-day, multi-shift exam, a release in the first half of October is the reasonable expectation.

How to Check the CCE Prelims Answer Key cum Response Sheet
These steps are taken from GSSSB’s own notice dated 15-09-2026 for another CBRT exam (Advt. No. 448/202627), which shows every screen candidates see. Expect the CCE notice to follow the same format, and confirm it when the key goes live.
- Open the CCE answer key notice on gsssb.gujarat.gov.in and click the login link printed inside it. In the September notice that link sat on digialm.com, the platform GSSSB uses for its CBRT exams. Use only the link from the Board’s notice, not one forwarded on WhatsApp.
- Select the advertisement number from the drop-down, enter your confirmation number and your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format, type the captcha text and click Login.
- Three tabs appear: Applicant Details, Candidate Response and Objection Form. Open Candidate Response.
- Click “Click here to generate it”. Your full question paper opens with your responses and the Board’s provisional answers.
- Click Print and choose Save as PDF. That saved file is your CCE prelims answer key PDF. Do it the same day, because the login may not stay open once the objection period ends.

Score each section separately. Reasoning alone is 40% of the paper, so a small change there moves your total more than anything else.
CCE Prelims Answer Key Score vs Normalized Score
This is the part most candidates miss after reading the CCE prelims answer key. With dozens of shifts, some papers were harder than others, so GSSSB will normalize the scores using the equi-percentile method described in its web note of 7 September 2026. Your position is judged against candidates in your own shift, then converted to a common scale.
Two practical results follow. First, do not compare your raw score with a friend’s from another shift; a lower raw score in a harder shift can normalize higher. Second, social-media “safe score” claims based on raw marks mean very little. In the 2024 cycle, the Board later issued a separate announcement on normalized marks along with a revised result, which shows how much the final numbers can move.
The fixed rules you can rely on come from the advertisement: a 40% qualifying standard, which is 60 out of 150, and a shortlist of seven times the category-wise vacancies for each group’s mains.
How to Raise an Objection Against the CCE Prelims Answer Key
When the 2024 CCE prelims answer key came out, objections were accepted online only, question ID by question ID, with supporting documents, until 17 June 2024 at 11:55 pm. GSSSB’s 15-09-2026 notice for another CBRT exam spells out the current rules, and the CCE prelims answer key notice is expected to follow them:
- Online only. Objections sent any other way are not considered.
- Only candidates who sat the CBRT can object, and one candidate can object to more than one question.

A coaching-class key or a YouTube screenshot is not a “book, page, author, publisher, year” reference. Use a GSHSEB or NCERT textbook, or an official government source, and crop the page so it stays under 400 KB.
In that September notice, the key came two days after the paper and the objection window ran from 3:00 pm on 16 September to 11:55 pm on 22 September 2026, about a week. The notice mentions no objection fee. GSSSB’s notice dated 5 October 2026 sets the objection window at 5 October 23:00 to 12 October 23:55. Objections are accepted online only, through the same candidate login — anything sent by email, post or any other route will not be looked at. No objection fee is mentioned in the notice.
The One Rule That Will Get Most Objections Rejected
The 5 October notice adds a line that is easy to miss and expensive to ignore. GSSSB states that references taken from ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and other AI tools, from Google Search, or from other websites will not be accepted as valid evidence and will not be considered at all.
What the Board does accept is a proper published source. Your supporting document has to name the book, the page number, the author, the publisher with address, and the year of publication. Upload it as a readable PDF, JPG or JPEG of 400 KB or less; you may attach up to three documents. An objection submitted with no evidence, or with an AI or website screenshot as evidence, is discarded.
Three more rules worth knowing before you start. Only a candidate who actually sat the CBRT can object. You may object to as many questions as you like, but each objection must quote the Question ID exactly as it appears on your own response sheet. And once an objection is submitted it cannot be edited, so check it before you send it.
What Happens After the CCE Prelims Answer Key

Not the APSC CCE Answer Key
